Is a long strip of sand which is backed by sand dunes. The beach stretches for around seven miles and sits on the shore of Carmarthen Bay on the south coast of Wales. Running all the way from Gilman Point to Laugharne Sands and it is also close to the small village of Pendine from which the beach gets its name. There are great views over Carmarthen Bay and across to Gower and Tenby.

New Quay is close to our hearts as our favourite chip shop: The Lime Crab, and ice cream parlour: Crème Pen Cei, are here! We also enjoy a drink in the Black Lion Hotel's garden which overlooks the sea and has a children's play area. The beaches are lovely, sandy and safe* and once again, Blue Flag. The boat trips to see the Bottlenose Dolphins are brilliant (though sightings cannot be guaranteed) and rock pooling is fun here, though the rocks can be very slippery. There are quite a few bars, cafes and restaurants to try out and several shops to potter around.

Aberporth is known for being a charming little village on the coast of Ceredigion and Aberporth Beach is one of the prettiest in the area. Aberporth Beach is something of a misnomer as it is actually two separate beaches bisected by a headland with Dyffryn Beach to the east and Dolwen Beach to the west. Still, Aberporth Beach is often used to describe both of these beaches together.

Mwnt is a haven for wildlife, one of the best places in Ceredigion to spot dolphins and always popular for days out on the beach. On beautiful sunny days families flock to Mwnt to enjoy this hidden cove’s golden sand and rolling waves. Located about 4.5 miles north of Cardigan town centre on the Mid Wales coast, you’ll drive down country lines to be presented with dramatic views over Cardigan Bay upon arrival. To reach the beach there is a series of steps leading down to the sheltered sandy bay. You can also reach the beach by walking the local stretches of Wales’ Coastal Path.

​Lovely seaside town, set in The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with some nice places to eat. The beach is accessed by turning right before the town (signposted 'Traeth'), following the road over the bridge and taking a left to the golf club.

An expansive, sometimes windswept, beach great for long walks followed by a large slice of cake and a cuppa at Poppit Sands Beach Café and Shop. Surfing here is, apparently, good though hit and miss.
